A reader asks, is the rosewood Martin OM-21 different enough from the mahogany CEO-7 to justify owning both?
Would I be foolish to let go of a CEO-7 in favor of an OM21?

I would think that these two guitars are about as different as Martins get. Different tone woods, different necks, different body shapes, just about everything else as well.
They are two of my favorites and I would be unable choose between them so owning both is a great solution.
Well, they have more in common in terms of feel and dynamics than something like a dreadnought or jumbo, but otherwise, I agree they could easily remain in the same collection without feeling redundant to anyone other than a player who normally only plays large guitars and wants only one smaller guitar. But I do not think of OMs as being small guitars, not like 00s. And the CEO-7 sounds more 000 than 00.
