Comparison of two similar Martin guitars

They are a 1931 00-18, arguably the best one I have ever seen, and the prototype of the 00-18 Authentic 193l, which was based on it.
The Authentic is #1 and the old timer #2.
And yes, the Authentic has brand new strings, Martin SP Lifespans, of course. The old one has I guess whatever Fred Oster puts on his guitars. As he is the owner of the venerable old 00-18.
I was going to put together a more formal comparison video once I got better mixes. But I just have too much to do now with all the new guitars out. But I will probably post one eventually.

I found it fascinating, and always will. I think sometimes it is less a matter of people hearing different things so much as noticing different things, and certain things mattering more than others. And of course, translating what we hear into some form of sharable language. But at other times, we do hear differently from others, especially when it comes to things like high frequencies.
