Putting Together a Good Shelf of Malt Whisky<\/strong><\/h2>\n

(Within the Means of the Common Man)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Our current shelf is influenced by our need to keep up on the latest version of many core expressions. The pallets involved in the tastings that lead to the main reviews are not always in agreement, but that helps keep the minds open.<\/p>\n

So, in terms of what I, the man whose page this is, truly prefers over all others, the following list will give you some idea of where I am coming from.<\/p>\n

Ardbeg 10 – favorite Islay smoke monster (runner up: Bowmore 12)<\/p>\n

Glen Garioch 12 – new\u00a0 favorite all around Highlander (runner up: Royal Lochnagar)<\/p>\n

Clynelish 14 – favorite bourbon-heavy single malt (runner up: Glenmorangie 10)<\/p>\n
